ABSTRACT
The article reports on the development of the Digital Library Federation Electronic Resource Management Initiative (DLF ERMI) for commercial and private vendors to use when designing an Electronic Resource Management System (ERMS) in the U.S. An overview on the future trends that organizations will face in the future such as data driven systems and standards adoption is offered. It also mentions that consortia are earning influence in the management and procurement of electronic resources.
