ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the optimistic outlook of steel and metal service centers as revealed in the Optimistic Index of Metal Center News (MCN) in the U.S. The positive outlook for service centers in 2010 has been translated to lead to greater buying, hiring and capital investment. However, the pessimists contradicts of a better economy in 2010 due to the deepening recession and increase government control that will hinder market opportunities.
