ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the steel wall being built by Egypt along its border with the Gaza strip. The wall is intended to keep Palestinians from digging tunnels to smuggle in goods from Egypt. Several personalities have objected to the construction of the wall including Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, Islamic scholar Doctor Yousef Al Qaradawi, and Roman Catholic priest Father Manuel Musallam. Mahmoud Ouf, Egypt's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, denied allegations that the wall is meant to starve the people of Gaza.
