ABSTRACT
The article focuses on bank information technology (IT) spending forecast for 2010 in the U.S. Celent predicts that IT spending in North America will reach 119.7 billion dollars in 2010 from 116 billion dollars in 2009. On the other hand, projections of Gartner Group Inc. puts financial institutions' IT spending at less than 246 billion dollars in 2010 from 239.7 billion dollars in 2009.
