ABSTRACT
The article discusses the practice of collaboration among U.S. teachers and notes that this has not occurred among school principals. It notes that school districts often prevent collaboration by creating competition between schools for resources and families. Charter schools compete with traditional schools as well. Collaboration among principals is discussed as it appears in Finland, Alberta, Canada, England and in the business world. Suggestions for beginning collaboration are provided.
