ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's opinion on the role of pharmacists. The author gives a structural framework under which he proposes to shift pharmacists from pharmacy and employ good technicians in the dispensing role, keeping the pharmacist confined to the role of prescribing drugs and moving pharmacists into the diagnosis and treatment workflow by developing a direct relationship between a patient and his pharmacist.
