ABSTRACT
The article reports that National Defense Commission (NDC), North Korea's highest decision-making body, has ordered the State Development Bank to be set up to provide investment on its development projects. NDC, which is chaired by North Korean ruler Kim Jong-Il, also designated Pyongyang-based Taepung International Investment Group to be responsible for attracting foreign investment for the State Development Bank.
