ABSTRACT
The article reports on the purchase of Houston, Texas-based steel plate fabricator Texas Steel Processing, Inc. by Chicago, Illinois-based metals processor and distributor Ryerson Inc. for about 11.4 million dollars. Earlier, Ryerson filed for a public offering to raise 350 million dollars. Ryerson executive vice president and chief financial officer Terence R. Rogers believes the acquisition would expand the company's product offering and capabilities in the Houston market.
