Presents information on a study which demonstrated a direct regulatory linkage between the human Rad17 homologue and the checkpoint kinases, ATM and ATR. How the functional consequences of ATR/ATM-dependent phosphorylation of hRad17 were examined; How to determine whether overexpression of Flag-hRad17 affected cell-cycle arrest or cell survival following DNA damage.
