ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of TSMC Corp. to launch a recruitment campaign that will hire more than 3,000 semiconductor-related staff in Taiwan. It states that due to an urgent increase in customer demand, TSMC is speeding construction of new fabs and capacity expansions. According to Mark Liu, senior vice president of operations at TSMC, their plans to rapidly move in equipment and begin volume production is one way of being competitive in providing steadfast support for customers.
