ABSTRACT
The article discusses measures to increase employee satisfaction and lessen turnover now that the recession is perceived to be ending. Once the economy has recovered, employees will expect that companies will restore their compensation and benefits. Dissatisfied employees will resign and employee turnover is very costly for employers. To improve employee satisfaction, it is suggested that employers should enhance communications with employees on matters that matter to them such as career advancement and opportunities.
