ABSTRACT
The article offers information on several geothermal power plants that were developed in Africa. It mentions that there is one 45 megawatt (MW) geothermal generating plant in Olkaria, Kenya and since 1995, there is no new power plants in the country. It adds that there is also one 8.52 MW geothermal generating plant in Aluto-Langano, Ethiopia, despite 27 prospects with a total of 700 MW potential have been identified.
