ABSTRACT
In this article, the author offers information about Ricky Skaggs, the owner of a sound studio called Skaggs Place Recording Studio. He states that Skagg began his career in the late 1970s, when he joined Emmylou Harris' Hot Band . He mentions that in the 1980s it was Skagg who successfully reinstated the use of acoustic instruments like acoustic guitars as lead instruments.
