ABSTRACT
The article discusses the consolidation of operations support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS) for the development of a new service. It states that the concept is to combine the several separate systems of communication service providers (CSPs) into something that would surpass the capacities of the member elements. It notes that the main drawback to the scheme is the complexity of the systems' structure and their multiple features.
