ABSTRACT
The article presents the report on the development of the Specific Purposes (ESP) Special Interest Group (SIG) in United Arab Emirates (UAE). It notes that the group provides professional development and the exchange of ideas. Its activities aim to provide a forum for ESP practitioners to encourage those who join the group. It hopes to reach its goals through mini-conferences and workshops.
