ABSTRACT
The article examines marketing of checking accounts by banks. Regulations limiting overdraft fees on accounts has resulted in many banks ending their practice of offering the accounts free of charge. Instead, banks are offering upgraded customer loyalty programs and data protection measures to attract new accounts.
