ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the utilization of several biomarkers including C-reactive protein (CRP), cystatin C, and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) in identifying the cardiovascular risk factors. A study was conducted to test whether these biomarkers can be considered as risk elements for cardiovascular and coronary diseases. The result of the study shows that biomarkers can be less considered as the main risk factor for cardiovascular diseases although CRP and N-BNP can predict its occurrence.
