ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of Kana Software by Accel-KKR. The transaction is valued at 40.82 million U.S. dollars. A total of 1.96 million U.S. dollars will be held back in escrow for up to 14 months. Rival Chordiant is one of the competitor of Accel-KKR in the said deal which offered to acquire Kana's shares for 1.20 U.S. dollars per share in a cash and stock deal.
