ABSTRACT
The article reports on the expansion of cable firm Comcast Corp.'s access to its Fancast Xfinity television (TV) authenticated Web-video service in the U.S. The company has widened the said service to about 14 million subscribers countrywide to preserve its pay model amid the dramatic increase of Internet video. Moreover, it also proposes to further expand it to 24 million video subscribers in June 2010 and partnered with Time Warner Inc. for the "TV Everywhere" scheme. INSET: THE X-FACTOR.
