Logistics of harvest and transport crucial to biofuels industry

The article discusses the importance of harvest, storage and transportation of plant materials in the biofuel industry in the U.S. in 2009. Professor and associate department head of biological and agricultural engineering at Texas A&M University Steve Searcy noted that the industry's pressing challenges will require new technology since the existing equipment may not be adequate. He added, their approach is to increase energy efficiency in every operation especially in the logistics.
