The article deals with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Radio Club of America (RCA) which indicated an important milestone for a club that had the humblest of beginnings more than a century ago. It tackles the beginnings of the club and how it was renamed the Radio Club of America in 1911. One of the accomplishments of the RCA members was in 1921 when it participated in the first transatlantic amateur communication. According to John Powell, a longtime member of RCA, the club represents the whole gamut of radio.
