It is stated that bathrooms were only enjoyed by wealthy people in the past and the pit toilet concept did not work in populated area. It notes that bathroom restoration needs to replace the old plumbing with new, find the appropriate style and re-enamel the troughs. According to Mend-A-Bath International P/L owner Darrall Castle, resurfacing process could save more than 70 percent cost of bath replacement.
