ABSTRACT
The article reports on the application of the new laser system to the U.S. metal fabrication shops which increases shops' production output. It mentions the Metalwerx, a fabrication shop in Fredonia, Wisconsin, which increased production speed, lowered per-hour operating cost, and increased material utilization while applying the updated fabrication technology. Todd Weaver, Metalwerx general manager, said that gaining speed while decreasing operation costs is the key contribution of the system.
