ABSTRACT
The article reports that Ellora Energy Inc., the Colorado based oil and gas exploration company after many tries for refiling an Initial Public Offering (IPO) has hired Bank of America /Merrill Lynch to help advise it on strategic alternatives. The company first attempted to go public in 2006, but never managed to float shares. Yorktown Energy Partners has a stake of more than 60 percent in the company and has two executives in its board. Its assets are located in Kansas and Texas.
