The article focuses on the launch of the electronic book reader NetFront Book Viewer EPUB Edition v1.0 from Access Co. Ltd. The software offers both vertical text display for character-based Asian languages, such as Chinese, Korean and Japanese, as well as the traditional horizontal text display. International Digital Publishing Forum's (IDPF) free and open e-book standard EPUB is supported by the software.
