ABSTRACT
The article discusses the 4.5 billion dollars all-stock acquisition of Black & Decker Corp. by Stanley Works to be closed in the first half of 2010. It states that the reaction of Stanley's marketing and development team is to ignore the acquisition until the deal is closed. Likewise, the Bostitch brand of Stanley Works views the deal as introduction of a line of hand tools in which they hope that it will be the Lexus brand for the professional users.
