Online Publication and the Impact Factor

The article presents the author's insight regarding the online publication of the "American Journal of Occupational Therapy" (AJOT) and the journal impact factor. She notes that the online publication will increase the access of AJOT to a national and international audience and beyond the occupational therapy profession. She defines journal impact factor as the numeric measure that represents the number of citations received by the journal for all articles published within 2 and 5 years.
