The article features a panel discussion organized by Health Forum on October 13, 2009 in Newport Beach, California, to examine the current medical staffing models, their capacity to meet existing needs, and ways they might be improved. The panel of chief medical officers and physician executives elaborated on issues facing hospital-physician relationships such as physician alignment and the pressure around utilization. The panel also proposed measures to address those issues.
