ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the extreme reverence and abuse displayed by 20th century visitors of Giant Rock in California. A home was excavated under the rock by prospector Frank Critzer. Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) conventions were hosted by aeronautical engineer George Van Tassel in the early 1950s. The rock split apart on February 20, 2000 as such occurrence was viewed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to be caused by heat from bonfires.
