The article focuses on the vegetation in the world. It notes that the world has a total land area of 52,000,000 square miles and less than 25,000,000 of the total land area is covered by grasslands and various forests. Meanwhile, the half of the total land area is covered by deserts and semi-arid regions, where desert shrubs, cacti and other semi-arid plants lived.
