ABSTRACT
The article reports on the advancement of the maternal and child health in Canada wherein its importance is recognized by recent political leaders. It states that the founding of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in 2005 have shown a decrease in infant mortality. It notes that in 2008, leaders of the G8 nations have committed to deal with the said issues as part of an intensive approach in rendering the basic health care.
