ABSTRACT
The article reports on the pledge of U.S.-based cable operator Comcast Corp. to launch at least two independently owned cable networks on its programming lineup. Documentary Channel chief executive officer (CEO) James Ackerman, notes that the move of Comcast Corp. is fantastic because they could turn into first-time distribution. It mentions that the independently owned cable network will be launched by the cable operator once its full infrastructure upgrade to digital is completed.
