ABSTRACT
The article reports on the patriotic feelings of British Muslims. It is recorded that 78% of British Muslims feel British, according to a 2009 survey. The article examines the imperial antecedents of Britain as a historic center for Islam and for Muslims. Among other issues the article contrasts the treatment of British Muslims with those in Germany and France.
