ABSTRACT
The article reports on the environmental initiatives of U.S. airlines designed to lower their environmental footprint. Delta is the first airline to offer passenger carbon offsetting while British Airways is the only other airline to develop such a program. Several questions are raised by carbon offset programs, which allow passengers to offset the emissions of their trip by paying extra. Information is presented on a Carbon Emissions Calculator from Back Aviation Solutions.
