The article reports on the contributions of Lewis G. Kearns, chairman of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), on the financial planning profession in the U.S. It notes that Kearns was one of the 13 founder of the financial planning profession which was also featured in the FPA's annual conference in Anaheim, California in October 2009. It stresses that Kearns have anticipated the complex interaction of educational institutions and membership organization to sustain a true profession.
