Although the benefits of predictive maintenance are widely accepted, the proportion of companies taking full advantage of the approach is about 0.4%. This paper is about awarded MCM (motor condition monitoring) device which is developed by Artesis to monitor 3 phased systems just like electrical motors, generators and transformers and driven equipment and its application cases. MCM is a device which prevents unexpected downtime and allows planning maintenance with detecting both electrical and mechanical failures in early phase by measure and monitor voltage and current. MCM also gives some diagnostic data for root cause analysis. The main function of MCM is preventing unexpected downtime due to motor failures and early warning of faults to increase efficiency of the system. Patented MCM technology is a product of 10 years study and used in some applications just like space shuttle main engine, helicopter engine and gas turbines earlier. MCM is a cheap device which does not require expert people to use. That's why MCM takes away disadvantages of both vibration and current signature analysis techniques.
