ABSTRACT
The article describes the collection development of the German central economic science library (Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschaftswissenschaften; ZBW) in Kiel, Germany. It is noted that the library became independent on January first, 2007, after leaving the German world economics institute Kieler Institut für Weltwirtschaft (IfW). Further comments are given about structural changes to the ZBW, the integration of library materials and documentation materials, and collection criteria.
