The article reports on the line boats delivered by Polyline Industries, specialists in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) construction to Go Marine of Port Hedland, Western Australia. The design philosophy for the line boat, designed by Steve Bruyn, was to produce the simplest possible vessels that would provide maximum clear deck space, making the maximum use of plastic. HDPE requires minimal maintenance which results in low whole-of-life costs. The line boat features Yanmar engines driving Hamilton Waterjets and special exhaust systems.
