The article features Kirby Marine, which celebrates its 130th Kirby vessel built in 2009. Managing Director Rob Kirby has looked at sectors of the marine industry that were being poorly catered for such as effective small patrol boats and rescue boats. Kirby virtually created the Australian market for commercial RIBs and adopted the Naiad range of basic designs. The market for Naiad RIBs has grown and includes adventure tourism and charter work.
