In this article, the author comments on the increasing number of professionals, executives, consultants and officials in the Australian marine industry whose educational background and industry knowledge do not match the qualifications of their positions. He criticizes a team of environmental consultants and comments on two articles, namely, one on spending funds for engineering solutions to carbon emissions rather than climate conferences and another on a drop in sunspot activity which result in global cooling as predicted by its author.
