ABSTRACT
The article discusses leadership insights, offering five simple ideas which the authors claim determine a leader's impact but are often missed by practitioners of leadership development (LD). Among these insights is a description of effective leadership as having the requisite attributes and the ability to accomplish results. It also makes a note of the distinction between generic and brand leadership, suggesting five skills that the latter should practice.
