The article focuses on authentic leadership (AL) and how it is distinguished by the ability to create value and meaning in their broad sense, which the author states enable leaders to think of people as human beings not human capital. It defines AL as building and communicating organizational identity effectively, essential in achieving focus to keep organizations on track and their clients intact. There are four ways to evaluate leadership authenticity including effective delivery of meaning to the marketplace.
