ABSTRACT
The article reports on the incentives and energy efficiency scheme called Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) initiated by the government in Great Britain. The target of the scheme is the middle-level energy users and it is aimed to motivate all organisations to save energy and to cut annual emissions of carbon dioxide by 4 million tonnes by the year 2020. It cites the PowerPerfector and ActiveEnergy companies which provide relevant systems and 20% voltage savings. INSETS: CEMEX Eastender is UK first;Corus keeps power on.
