Reports that race riots occurred in northern England on May 26, 2001, following a fight between two boys, a White and an Asian. Spread of the violence across the town of Oldham; Inception of tension in Oldham since April 2001 when the anti-immigrant faction, the British National Party, had started to campaign in the area; Reputation of the Asian community in Great Britain as a peaceful one.
