ABSTRACT
The article presents a report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office on the planning, resourcing, and training issues that challenge the Department of Defense's (DOD) response to threats to homeland security. DOD has its own chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) consequence management plans but has not integrated them with other federal plans. GAO recommends DOD to improve the link between them and other federal plans to which DOD has agreed.
