ABSTRACT
The article presents data produced by experts led by Professor Klim McPherson of Oxford University indicating that children's overweight and obesity levels dropped 4% in the anticipated number for girls, while the anticipated number for boys dropped by 5%. News that child obesity may be levelling off is encouraging considering that there are currently 1.5 million children and 25 million adults who are overweight or obese exposing them to risks type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart and liver disease, said Gillian Merron, public health minister of England.
