ABSTRACT
The article reports on the delivery of the first series Boxer 8x8 armored fighting vehicle (AFV) to Franz Josef Jung, Minister of Defence of Germany, and Elmert van Middelkoop, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands in a ceremony at the Krauss Maffei-Wegmann factory in Munich, Germany on September 30, 2009. It is said that the AFV is intended to use by the German Army. It is stated that the Boxer AFVs will undergo a series of operational tests before its deployment to Afghanistan.
