ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the rationale behind his great love of growing and exhibiting roses and how rose arrangement and rose shows reach the level of art. He argues that a rose show is an artistic presentation aimed at uplifting the spirits of the viewers through its beauty and charm. He discusses how materials of fine quality become works of art such as paintings and sculpture. He describes the artistic ability and skills needed in rose exhibiting and in rose arrangements.
