ABSTRACT
The article examines the importance of layered lithium batteries for automobiles which are powered only by batteries in the U.S. It explains that lithium-ion batteries shows superior energy-to-weight rations and slower loss of discharge compared with other type of batteries. It explores the development of lithium-ion battery cathode that contains a high concentration of nickel ions in the core. Further information on the improvement of transitional cathode material is presented.
