ABSTRACT
The article features Dr. C. Gresham Bayne, whose calling to the U.S. healthcare sector to focus on providing routinely check on ill Medicare patients who would rather stay home. Bayne, who is also the founder of Call Doctor Medical Group, says that with doctors making house calls, it could keep re-admissions down and with the in-home monitoring system, only one of the 111 patients had to be readmitted within 12 months. Call Doctor has achieved several firsts for house calls in the U.S. including the first cardiac impedance sent wirelessly in 1995.
